Website Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-06-27

These Terms govern your use of the website getnextpdf.com (the “Site”), operated by PATEON Network Technology Inc. (“PATEON”, “we”). They are a grounded draft pending review by counsel.

1. Acceptance and scope

By using the Site you agree to these Terms. They govern the website only. Your use of the NextPDF software is governed separately: the open-source Core and Connect under the Apache License 2.0, and NextPDF Pro and NextPDF Enterprise under their commercial license agreement and EULA. Where these Terms and a product license differ on a product matter, the product license controls.

2. Intellectual property and brand

The Site’s content, layout, copy, logos, and the NextPDF name and prism mark are the property of PATEON or its licensors. The Apache License 2.0 covers the Core code only — it is not permission to use the NextPDF name or logo. See the trademark guidance in the project’s TRADEMARK.md. Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, and Cloudflare are trademarks of their respective owners; NextPDF is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

3. Permitted use

Use the Site lawfully and do not: interfere with its operation or security; scrape or automate beyond what robots.txt permits; probe, rate-limit-evade, or attempt unauthorised access; or use the Site to infringe others’ rights. We may suspend access for abuse.

4. Free vs. commercial editions

NextPDF Core and Connect are free and open source (Apache-2.0). NextPDF Pro and Enterprise require a separate commercial license. The Site itself does not grant any product license.

The Site links to external resources (including the documentation at nextpdf.dev and the package registry). We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To that extent, PATEON is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and your mandatory local consumer rights are preserved.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), with the Taipei District Court as the exclusive forum, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold under your local law.
